In this course, we will study planet formation and evolution, considering both the Solar System and exoplanets.
We will first present some obsrevational constraints, in particular related to exoplanets (mass, period, radius, composition, etc...). In a second part, we will study the structure and evolution of protoplanetary disks, the birthplace of planets. We will then present the different models explaining the formation of planets, and their predictions. In the last part, we will introduce the long term evolution of planets, including evaporation, and the relation between planetary structure and potential habitability.
